Diego Armando Maradona is, unarguably one of the greatest football players the world has seen. He led the Argentinean team to victory in the 1986 FIFA World Cup at Mexico. Diminutive though, he was a brilliant midfielder and was compared to Pele when at his best. His infamous rather famous “Hand of God” in the quarterfinal against England showed some of his best footballing skills. And to top it all was the pass to Jorge Burrochaga in the final against West Germany to net the goal and seal it for Argentina. His later part of life was marred by controversies of drug usage and rehabilitation but despite all this shortcomings he still enjoys a huge fan following.
